We make plans when taking a trip, be it by car, airplane, train or bus, even when going on an overnight stay. Sometimes we just sit back and imagine going to a place of interest.
Whatever we do, the journey has to come to an end. None of us can truly say the experience will be good or bad. We can only hope that it will be good.
That’s how things are as we go through life. We can try to plan how things will go, but it does not always happen the way we want.
There is one plan that will.
That’s the plan to live according to the Word and have an eternal life in heaven with God, the Father and Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
As believers we should follow the “Holy Plan” of the Lord.
That plan is found in the Bible, God’s Holy Word. We should read it, listen to what it says and pray for understanding.
When we follow this plan, His grace and salvation takes us on a journey that shows us how to forsake sin and have nothing more to do with it.
A journey that brings us to holiness and happiness. The reason Christ took the journey and died on the cross for us all.
He loves us, gave His life for us; and we should take the journey of salvation, love Him and give ourselves to Him.
Remember, no matter the journey you are on, Jesus is right by your side.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we thank you for allowing us to grow in grace and knowledge through your Word. We thank you for the journey, because it builds our character and strengthens our relationship with you. Nothing is greater than your glorious appearance, the fact that we get to journey with you everyday, not just when time permits, and the fact that we learn something new everyday or even get a reminder of what we already know. Thank you again and again Lord.
In Jesus Name, Amen
