Wonderful Victory – Here is the Reason Why to Rejoice

Today’s Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:9-17

Today’s Verse: I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. Ecclesiastes 3:14 KJV

“Occasion” is known as a special or momentous time.

Our lives are an occasion.

When we are told to “rise to the occasion,” the goal is to get us to seek that favorable opportunity and to learn from it. To make it our own.

To come out victorious.

We will always have something to do.

None were sent into the world to be idle.

King Solomon is the writer of Ecclesiastes.

What he writes can seem depressing and is often misunderstood. This is because it is written from a human view, not God’s.

He had questions regarding life.

He asked the question, “What do workers gain from their toil?” (Ecclesiastes 3:9 NIV).

We know there is no right or wrong when we ask questions to gain knowledge.

And the more we read, we see that he had moments of hope.

He wrote, “And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 4:13 KJV).

It is wonderful to know we serve a God who gives us good things to enjoy.

“That, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14 KJV).

Let us continue to acknowledge Him and follow His commands.

He will always fill our lives with purpose, meaning and joy.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we will always have questions. Questions about the direction we are taking. We know that You desire our lives to be filled with joy. A joy that will always be received the more we abide by the Word. Never feeling that any question asked is wrong. You are the center of our lives. We know that everything You do will last forever. Thank You for always being there for us. Victory in all things is our goal. Through You we can do it.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
