Today’s Reading: 2 Chronicles 7:11-17
Today’s Verse: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
We all have sinned. We all have different desires in life. We need to change things.
It is good to know that prayer changes things.
Prayer is our direct way of communicating with God. His mercies are always made known.
His mercies will always leave an impression on our lives. But we must receive them with His majesty and holiness.
Solomon said a prayer. God gave a gracious response to his prayer.
The Bible says, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land: (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV/KJV).
This was a promise spoken to Israel. It is a promise that still applies to Christians.
A promise to all believers.
Through our words we ask for help. We give thanks. We give Him praise.
Prayer is also the way we confess our sins. The way we seek forgiveness.
It is a way we strengthen our connection with God.
We must understand that prayer is our call to be humble. To seek God’s face. To repent of our sins for total restoration.
We are children of God.
Let us acknowledge His ownership and His relationship with us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we must continue in faith. Always recognizing that Christ died for our sins. That we can come to You in prayer. Acknowledging all our sins. Confessing that we need Your guidance. We want to continue to be in the Your service. We want to be successful in all of our affairs. Like Solomon’s praise, we know what we are going through, but by Your grace we know we can prosper in it. Thank You for all that You are doing in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
