Today’s Reading: Isaiah50:4-10
Today’s Verse: The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. Isaiah 50:5 KJV
Obedience is the act of following commands. Following instructions that are given by someone in a leadership position.
For believers it means we listen to God’s commands. We know they are found in the Bible.
We all need to hear the Word of God and act on it. Completely surrendering to His authority.
We must base our decisions and our actions on His Word.
For some, obedience will be seen as a heavy burden. We try to find ways other ways of doing things. Causing ourselves more grief than good.
The Father desires our walk to be one of faith. Motivated by our love for the Savior and our desire to please Him.
Our obedience is about discovering more of God.
The decisions we make may seem heavy. We worry about what the end may look like.
We have to remember that His ways will always help us avoid negative results.
Jesus came to declare the truths set by the Father. To comfort those thar are broken and has a guilt-filled heart. To rescue those weary of sin and harassed with afflictions.
Jesus is our guide. He speaks in the name of all believers. Through Him we are given the power to defeat sin.
The Lord does not give us something He knows we cannot manage.
The Holy Spirit was upon Him. Making it where He could speak and have a Divine influence on man. Making it where He could pray and preach the gospel.
He would receive and deliver the whole will of the Father.
We have the same calling on our lives.
The more we are obedient in the smaller matters of life, He is preparing us for bigger ones. Our lives become more exciting when we place our trust in the Lord.
“We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 KJV).
Each time we take a step in obedience; we will be asked to take another.
Walking in faith can be a thrilling experience.
It may be hard at times.
But each step is leading to a wonderful blessing from our Father.
Our situations move us to the main purpose He has for our lives.
We will gladly say, “The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back” (Isaiah 50:5 KJV).
We defeated any signs of fear, and our obedience takes the lead.
We take every opportunity to show His magnificent power in us.
We all need to take the time to decide what our next step of obedience will be.
Each step leads toward a lifetime of walking with God.
A walk that will always have a positive impact on our lives.
What is your next step of obedience?
It should be easy to make.
Prayerfully, it is to follow the lead of the Lord.
To be blessed in all our ways.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all should desire to be obedient to Your Word. To defeat the feeling of fear by standing firm on the Word. Always looking to the Lord as the prime example of what it means to follow Your ways. Letting the Holy Spirit continue to help lead and guide us each day. Obedience to You will always bring joy to our lives. We will have everything we need. Thank You for showing us the way. For caring and loving us so much that You sent Jesus to be our guide. We know with You all things are possible. Our obedience is just one step to achieving them.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
