Today’s Reading: Proverbs 8:12-21
Today’s Verse: The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13 KJV
Knowledge and wisdom are closely tied together.
They are both gifts from God.
It was through the redemption of Christ’s precious blood that the riches of His grace abound.
Jesus showed us what it means to be wise and to show good judgement in life.
In Proverbs, knowledge focuses on us having correct understanding of the world and ourselves.
Wisdom allows us to have a deeper understanding of life.
We are learning how to live a life according to the Word. Allowing us to use this knowledge the right way.
Giving us the ability to understand the difference between good and evil.
There are many things we face today that can bring shame to our lives.
Things that can ruin our lives.
Being rooted in the Word is the way for us to recover.
The Word tells us, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth” (Proverbs 8:13 KJV).
When we allow evil, pride, or self-importance to fill our lives.
They leave no room for wisdom.
The best counsel in any difficult situation will always come from God.
The Word tells us, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.” “To ask in faith, nothing wavering” (James 1:5,6 KJV).
Christ, by His Spirit, guides believers into all truth.
He leads us in the way of righteousness.
We walk after the Spirit.
He will always help us to make our way plain.
Joy and happiness comes when we put our trust in Him.
In Wisdom’s promises, believers have goods laid up for them.
Not for days and years, but for eternity.
The more we seek His wisdom and knowledge things can only get better.
We will be happy in the glory of God now and hereafter.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, wisdom is an acquired skill. Daily we are learning how to live our lives according to the Word. To use this knowledge the right way. No longer letting anything keep us from listening to Your humbling, awakening, and holy instructions. We are thankful for how Your Spirit guides us into all truth. How it leads us in a way of righteousness. Use us Lord and make us humble. We do have a desire to walk according to Your way. Thank You for the love and care You show us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
