Today’s Reading: Romans 12:1-5
Today’s Verse: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 KJV
Understanding the nature of God and our relationship with Him is important.
It is the building block for understanding faith. It provides our framework for belief. Our behavior. Our purpose. It has an influence on our spiritual practices.
“Perfect will” describes God’s ideal. It is a faultless plan for each of our lives. It is a deep and internal change.
A plan that results in our greatest good. We grow abundantly. We live in a state of wholeness.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV).
It will always be when our thoughts, actions and desires match with His Divine purpose. Then we will understand the desires He has for our lives.
He has told us not to do the things of the world. That our minds are to be renewed.
This change will not be of substance, but of the qualities of the soul.
This change is a life-long process.
Each day we are dying to sin. Living to righteousness more and more.
It is with the help of the Holy Spirit; we yield our will to God. We become more like Christ.
The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives first begins with understanding. We must have the will to listen. If we have a sincere desire to change, He will continue to hold conversations with us regarding our situations.
God will always awaken those who are spiritually dead. He offers us an opportunity to repent. To have faith in Christ.
Resulting in a change of the whole man into the likeness of God. We grow in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness.
We build qualities of humility, faith, and love. Leading to full spiritual growth.
It is important that we change our way of thinking. To move away from worldly influences. To move to a mindset shaped by God.
An internal renewal is needed for us to see God’s perfect plan.
We want our actions, words, and thoughts to be acceptable in His sight.
We want a sense of purpose, clarity, and inner peace. We want to live a joyful life.
It will only happen if we give up ourselves to God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we present ourselves as living sacrifices. We do not want to conform to the patterns of this world. We want our minds to be renewed daily. Help us to focus on Your truth. We want to do the things that are pleasing in Your sight. We want to do Your perfect will. Guard our minds from the selfish worldly ways of thinking. Fill our hearts with Your compassion. Fill our hearts with humility. We want our words and actions to be in harmony with Your Spirit. Change us from the inside out Father. We want You to see Jesus in all that we do. Living out the will You have for our lives. Thank You for all the changes You are making in our lives.
