Energize Your Mind: Embracing Powerful Spiritual Growth and Freedom

Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:7-11

Today’s Verse: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

We all think about things in different ways. We are always trying to figure out how we are going to do something.

Sometimes we need to take a step back. Think about how we are doing things. We will make any changes that are needed.

We want to be successful in our goals.

In this passage the Apostle Paul is telling believers how to do this.

We are not to have strong disagreements. We are to avoid proud thoughts. We are to get rid of anything that goes against God.

Every thought is to be obedient to the Word. God’s Divine Weapon.

It has the power to tear down any “strongholds.” The ones of human reasoning. The ones of pride. The ones that prevent us from knowing God.

Anything that goes against the truth of God and the Word must be destroyed.

Everything must be brought under the authority and obedience of Christ. They must be in harmony with His truth and will.

He wants us to have divine understanding. He wants us to keep our minds in a state of willing submission.

As believers we are encouraged to be aware of our thought patterns. To compare them against God’s Word.

Any thought that does not give support to His truth should be rejected. While those that do give support with His truth should be embraced and strengthened.

Through prayer and reading the word, we have the power over our thoughts. It comes from the power that God has given us.

Take the time to cast down imaginations. Take the time to cast down anything that tries to come against the knowledge of God.

Bring it all into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

When we do, we have a renewed way of thinking. We have enhanced wisdom. We have a greater sense of peace. We have protection from the enemy. We have protection from any spiritual attack.

There is a spiritual change to our lives. We are changed into the person God desires us to be.

But most of all, we have a stronger relationship with God. It will be an amazing connection. Filled with great joy.

One we should all desire to have.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, help us to destroy wrong thinking. Take every thought captive. Help us to obey Your Word. We know that the Holy Spirit brings strength, wisdom, and power to us. Helping us to know the truth from lies. Helping us to keep our minds focused on Your Will. We want to live a life of victory over every mental and physical battle that we face. Thank You for granting us the wisdom to recognize and reject negative thinking. Thank You for filling our minds with Your truth and peace.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
