Know In Youth, Powerful Wisdom is to be Gained!

Read: 2 Timothy 3:14-17 / Acts 16:1-5

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15 KJV

It is not a secret that the Bible is our sure guide to eternal life.

We all must learn the things of God.

We all need to know the Holy Scriptures because they are the Divine revelation.

Through our learning we find the confidence needed to obey and not give up in life.

That is why the Father has told us that the age of children is the age to learn (2 Timothy 4:15 KJV).

And as we grow, that which was planted grows.

Showing us how His Word has continued to protect us as we continue on this journey called life.

When we read about Timothy, we know little about his early life.

We see that his God-fearing mother and grandmother faithfully taught him things concerning the Scriptures (2 Timothy 1:5; 3:15 KJV).

They were doing like the prophets and apostles in 2 Peter 1:21 KJV.

They did not speak from themselves but taught him what they had learned from God.

From his youth they encouraged him to continue in the doctrine he had learned from the Holy Scriptures.

There is no doubt that he may have had his moments when he could have strayed and let sin overtake his life.

But he listened and remembered what they were telling him.

He remained strong in the Word.

Because of this, God used him as an effective leader in the early church.

Being spared a life of sin is a grace that we should be thanking God for.

God grace saves all of us.

Making it possible for us to be living testimonies to others about His grace.

Just like the seed of faith has been planted in our lives, let us plant one in someone else’s life.

Knowing there will be someone to help keep it watered.

From the young to the old, we all need the Word as the watering which keeps our faith growing.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, no matter our age, while we still have breath in our bodies, there is always time to learn of You. There is something in the Scriptures that is suitable for any and everything we are going through. When we acknowledge Your Word, we gain happiness. Our faith in the Savior grows. The knowledge gained is a blessing. The Word of truth is what we need from our youth. Thank You for showing us how we can be cleansed of our sin-stained lifestyles. There is no one like You. You have always been there for us, and we are grateful for You.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
