Today’s Reading: Job 23
Today’s Verse: For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face. Job 23:16-17 KJV
For everything that happens in our lives, there is a reason.
There will be times in our lives when we pray over a situation that would impact our future.
We may get on our knees and feel as if God was not there.
Day and night we continue to pray, but it seems like He is miles away.
There may be friends and loved ones who gather to intercede on our behalf, but to no avail.
We are at the point where we feel defeated.
Remain steadfast in prayer.
As believers we know that God always has a motive that makes sense.
We may not see it in the beginning but the more we keep faith in Him, it will.
He always has a purpose for being silent.
In His time, He will show up and clearly tell us what our next steps should be.
Like Job, when God seems silent, keep on praying.
So many of us have quit praying about a need because there was no answer.
In Matthew 17:20 KJV the Savior tells us, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
One can only imagine how small our trust must be when we give up on the Lord.
The Father may be silent for a time, but He never stops working on our behalf.
When the time is right, He always provides an outcome that is in harmony with His perfect plan.
Let us never give up before He responds to our call.
Keep praying.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know You hear our every prayer. As believers, we cannot treat our prayers like quarters fed into a vending machine. Always expecting You to give us an instant response. We are to have faith the size of a mustard seed. Knowing that the more we come to You we are watering it. And at some point, it will begin to grow. Ending in an abundance of blessings. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Give us the strength to never give up before You respond. To keep praying because You are listening. Thank You!
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
