Looking Forward – A Fantastic, New Life of Wonderful Changes

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 43:14-21

Today’s Verse: Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 KJV

A “new thing.” It is generally known as something that previously did not exist. It can be a situation we have not encountered before.

For the believer it has greater meaning.

Divine actions take place. A meaningful change in God’s dealings with us. Something never done or known before.

He desires to make significant and lasting changes in our lives. He wants to do it in a positive and beneficial way.

In today’s passage, God has promised to create new opportunities. He wants to do it for every believer.

“A New Thing” highlights God’s ability to bring about fresh beginnings. That we will experience unexpected blessings. That they will be in ways we do not understand.

They will “spring forth” in ways that show God’s swift and powerful ways.

But will we really receive them?

God wants us to observe and recognize the new things He is doing around us.

Nothing says we will not have our “way in the wilderness.” We will find ourselves in a place of hardship.

There will be situations that we face. Those will be the times God creates a pathway for our escape.

He will give us the ability to overcome them all. To be victorious even in the most challenging circumstances.

He is there when we are in a place of dryness and lack. He will always provide “rivers in the desert.” We will be blessed with His life-giving water.

God is faithful. He wants what is best for us.

He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. He will always provide a way out of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV)

We must put our trust in Him. Receiving strength. Getting everything we need to resist anything that is not of Him.

Both passages provide hope and encouragement.

They remind us that God is always active. He is there. Even in what we see as impossible situations.

It calls for faith. To recognize His new work. To expect the blessings He is going to bring to our lives.

Continue to be encouraged and rely on Him for strength and guidance.

As the song sung by the Clark Sisters says: “I expect a miracle every day. God will make a way out of no way. Just believe and receive it. God will perform it today.”

Keep looking for your miracles.

God is going to do a new thing in your life.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know You sent Jesus to rescue sinners, and to bring the believer to glory. Nothing can compare with the wondrous work of Your love. We are redeemed and made new. The more we abide by the Word, the more new things will continue to spring forth in our lives. They will be like rivers of water flowing through desert places. Blessings that we will not have enough room to receive. May we continue to be encouraged. Relying on You for strength and guidance. Thank You for all that You are doing in our lives.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
