Devoted: A Heart Full of Daily Praise and Worship

Today’s Reading: Psalms 103

Today’s Verse: Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalms 103:1 KJV

When we look back on our lives, we have so much to be thankful for.

By the forgiving of our sins, we are restored to the favor of God.

We all have a reason to give the Lord praise. To worship Him for His mighty acts of kindness.

Our praise is the outward expression of thanks. Our deep love and respect for God. It is shown in our singing, dancing, and the clapping of our hands. Through public statements of appreciation. Through our testimonies.

Our worship is even greater. It is a feeling of deep love and respect. It shows our willingness to yield to authority. We recognize the power and holiness of God. Yielding to His will. To His authority. A willingness to follow His commands.

Praise and worship. They show we know where our help comes from.

That is what David is thinking about in this passage. That is his reason for praising and worshipping God. His reason to bless God for His mercies.

Like David, we should have a desire to bless the Lord. To bless Him with all our soul. Not just in words, but with our whole being. Praise directed to God’s holy name. Recognizing His Divine attributes and character.

Praise and Worship. May it be a daily part of our lives.

Thanking and praising Him for His many benefits. For His forgiveness, healing, and loving-kindness.

He has done great things in each of our lives.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, our sins have taken away the good things You have for us. it is good to know that we can come to You. Asking for forgiveness. That we can be restored unto You. Unto Your favor. You always know what is right for our lives. You have done great things. Thank You for all that You do for us. With all our soul and everything that is within us, we will bless Your holy name.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
