Powerful Praise and Worship – Always Spectacular Weapons in Life

Today’s Reading: Psalms 149:6-9

Today’s Verse: “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand.” Psalms 149:6 KJV

We know that God has appointed us to do certain things in life.

Today’s verse encourages believers to actively engage in spiritual practices, emphasizing the power of praise and faith in overcoming challenges.

In the past, the sword was a physical weapon for Israel. They used it to execute judgment. Today, it is seen as the Word of God. It shows His Spiritual Authority.

That as believers we are to praise God while actively fighting a battle. Using high praise as our weapon to secure victory.

Our high praise is our way to acknowledge God’s supreme authority.

A powerful response to God’s faithfulness.

We are soldiers in God’s army. Fighting to bring down strongholds.

Daily we must remember that praising God and fighting spiritual battles are actions that occur at the same time.

Our praise is the joyful, vocal, and active acknowledgment of God. Showing that we recognize His character, works and goodness. His supreme worthiness.

We often express it through songs, our testimonies, and our obedience.

We are to praise Him with our whole being. Using everything that has breath (Psalms 150). We are to live a life of obedience.

Our job is to be an instrument of His judgment against wicked forces.

We must never forget that the Word is our armor. It is our sword. It is our shield. That our praise is a powerful weapon. That it is an active force in overcoming challenges.

“Let the high praises of God be in (your) mouth, and a twoedged sword in (your) hand.” Psalms 149:6 KJV

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that You never wanted Your gospel to be spread by fire and sword. Nor Your righteousness to be spread by the wrath of man. You wanted the high praise to be in our mouths. We are to carry the sword of the word of God, with the shield of faith. Carrying it in warfare with the world, the flesh, and the devil. We want to be more than conquerors over the enemy. We want others to love of Your loving kindness. We give You all the praise. We give You all the honor. Thanking You for the joy and peace You bring to our lives.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
