Today’s Reading: Psalms 40:8-17
Today’s Verse: Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. Psalms 40:16 KJV
Praise and Worship are two great ways to magnify the Lord.
In the Book of Psalms, David and others wrote songs of praise and worship.
They spoke about the Lord’s Leadership characteristics.
When the songs were put together in this book, the collection became one of a biography of God. Ones that had a language of praise. Stories that are told of His deep love for us.
A way of praising God for who He is.
Our ability to worship grows out of our love for the Savior.
Knowledge is the true root of praise.
That is why the Father put in every believer a desire to know more of Him.
This desire is satisfied when we spend time with the Lord, in the Word, and by fellowshipping with other Christians.
We begin to see how the Father works in our live to meet our needs and provide blessings.
Christ has triumphed over our spiritual enemies.
Experiencing Him in our lives make us fall in love with Him.
Through Him, we shall be more than conquerors.
Psalms is an encouragement for all to seek God and love His salvation.
To rejoice in Him daily, and to praise Him.
Every believer has a “biography” of the Lord to share.
It not only contains praises of how He has intervened in our lives, but also the lessons learned.
That is why we testify to how much we adore Him.
Singing a song of praise like David did.
“Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified” (Psalms 40:16 KJV).
Praying that others might come to know, love, and give Him praise too.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, our faith in You grows the more we praise You. Our praise and worship tells the world we have put our trust in You. Sharing our testimonies with others can be an inspiration to someone. Making it where they might come to know, love, and praise You too. The root of praise is knowledge. Thank You for letting us come to know more about You. We magnify and give You praise for all that You are doing and will do in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
