Prayer: Genuine Faith Will Always Get the Best Results

Read: Nehemiah 2:1-8

Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

Nehemiah 2:4 KJV

It is common for us to feel that we are caught in a desperate situation.

Resulting in a loss of hope.

A loss that causes us to surrender to misery or dread.

Those are the times we have to remember we can always go to God in prayer.

Asking Him to provide a way.

To give us the strength and guidance we may need.

To provide us with the best tools, or whatever it takes to help us make it through.

The answer may not come as we expect.

But it will come.

And there will be those who will feel that it was only a coincidence that things turned around, in our favor.

As believers, we know otherwise.

We know that God often answers our prayers in a way that only those who have spiritual insight can see that He is there for them.

Think about Nehemiah.

He was standing before Artaxerxes the king.

He had a suggestion on how things could be made better for people.

The king encouraged him to tell him what he was thinking.

Silently praying, he made his request to the king.

He knew that he was not limited to any set moment to address the King of Kings.

That he could go to Him at all times.

That going to the Throne of Grace was never out of season.

Because of Faith, his prayer was answered.

The King granted his request.

Nehemiah left the king’s presence with everything he needed to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Giving him the ability to help the Jews that would be returning there.

Nehemiah’s prayer to God touched the heart of the king.

Making him surprisingly helpful and generous to granting Nehemiah’s request.

God still answers prayers.

Keep praying.

No matter the circumstance you are facing.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that You are always there for us. It is up to us to have the confidence to come to You in prayer. You are always there to hear and answer them. It does not matter what our situation is. Miracles and blessings are still ours for the asking. And when they are received it may be a sign to someone in doubt. Letting them know that praying will always be the key to the deliverance we need. Thank You for always listening and answering our prayers.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
