Pressing On

And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.  1 Samuel 20:3 KJV

Achieving and maintaining a balance in our lives is what we all desire to accomplish.

But there comes a time when things may happen that put us in a position where we have to make a change.

A change that may seem like a struggle or that it is impossible to do.

Leading us to question why it is happening and how we will make it through it all.

Those are the times we need to look to the Lord for guidance.

David is one of many examples of how the Lord allows us to go through things to make us better.

We may or may not have a Jonathan in our lives, but the Word is always there.

Showing us how He is preparing us for future advancement and the journeys to come in our lives.

That even though things may seem scary and hard, in the end we will find joy.

A joy because we have accomplished that which the Lord proposed for us.

An even greater joy in knowing that in the end, we can expect to receive the crown that the Lord has laid up for us.

 A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, as we go through dangers seen and unseen, let us remember You are always there.  There to connect us with those who can help us and always reminding us to remain in Your Word. Thank You for the joy we can have now and when we come home to You in Heaven.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
