Prophetic Biography

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7  KJV

This is a verse that reassures us that no one is so corrupt that Christ’s blood cannot cleanse.

That the burdens and sins we carry are not so heavy that the Savior cannot remove them.

I was reading an inspiration that talked about an elderly Christian that carried a little book with him that he often took out of his pocket to show others.  He called it his biography.

It had only three pages, but not a single word was written on any of them. Yet he said it contained the whole story of his life.

The first page was black.  It was his sin, his condition by nature.

The second page was red.  It represented the blood of Christ that was shed for his sins.

The third page was white. The final page that stood for the fact that he was washed in that blood and made whiter than snow.

We all have a biography to write.  How many pages it contains is up to each of us.

But just like the elderly Christian, we need to acknowledge our sin-stained life.  That somewhere along the way we heard the Word that Christ died for our sins, truly received it and was washed clean.

When we do this, we walk in the light, as the Lord is in the Light and we have fellowship one with another.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know that to walk in darkness, is to live and act against Your Word. We plead guilty before God, becoming humble, and willing to confess all our sins in their full extent.  Relying wholly on Your mercy and truth for forgiveness, and our deliverance from the power and practice of sin. Being able to write a spiritual biography that when looked at encourages someone else to do the same.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
