Right Choice: The Most Promising One to Choose

Read: Revelation 1:12-20

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 1:18 KJV

Every believer knows that God is the Master of all things.

From the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation.

That “Jesus [is] the [Author and Finisher] of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV).

From the time God created the earth to the time He calls us home.

That is why it is important for us to put our trust in Him.

To live according to the Word.

In this passage He is reminding us that He is the Lord over life and death.

The Savior came, bled, and died for our sins, rose, and is alive forevermore.”

He has “the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18 KJV).

In Him is where our faith should always be.

We should proclaim like David did.

He acknowledged that “My times are in thy hand.”

That the Lord would “deliver [him] from the hand of [his] enemies, and from them that persecute [him]. (Psalms 31:15 KJV).

Job is another witness to what it means to keep our faith in the Lord.

Even with the grief he was facing, he still acknowledged the Lord as being a part of his life.

He said, “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21 KJV).

The Father knows the plans He has for our lives.

The Word is filled with passages that show us the responsibilities we have during our walk of faith.

We will face many things in life, but through Him we have the strength to succeed.

Never forgetting that “it is God which worketh in [us] both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13 KJV).

It is not for us to choose how long we will live, but to live our lives the best that we can.

Leaving the decisions about life and death in the Master’s sovereign hands.

He already knows the path we should take and what the end will be.

We just have to stand fast in the Word and follow His lead.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, let us remain steadfast and listen to Your voice. We know that the Savior died for our sins and rose again. All that we might have an eternal life with Thee. We want to receive the tokens of Your love. We know this will only be possible when we give of ourselves to You. Because You are the One who makes everything all right. You are always there for us. Let us continue to find comfort in knowing that life and death is in Your sovereign hands. All we have to do is maintain and live according to the Word. Doing everything You have instructed us to do. Selah!

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
