Right Now: This is the Day of Favorable Salvation

Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:18-6:2

Today’s Verse: (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV

Decision making is something we do every day.

Some that need to be managed right away.

It can be hard to make some of them.

But there are steps we all can take to ensure we are making good ones.

We start by identifying what our goal is.

Gathering information to see what the best way is to proceed.

Taking the time to consider the consequences we may face.

Then we make our decision.

Many times, not always, being able to go back and reevaluate them.

We always need to be prepared.

From Genesis to Revelations the Father shows us the importance of making good decisions.

In this passage Paul’s words are about salvation.

He was talking about the reality regarding the coming of the Savior.

What His death and resurrection meant for their lives.

The salvation that it brought.

It brought about the era that he called “the time of God’s favor (2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV).

We are still living in that time.

Salvation is available to all right now.

The words Paul spoke has not lost their value.

He said, “I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV).

He wanted all to know that if they have not yet trusted in the Lord for forgiveness, that now is the time to come.

There was no time to waste.

They needed to make the decision if they were going to receive God and the plans He had for their lives.

Or if they were going to continue on a path of sin.

This day is still a day of salvation.

The Holy Spirit is constantly reminding us of our need to put our trust in the Lord.

To turn from our sinful ways and follow the Lord.

It is not too late to make the right decision.

There is no better day than today because no one knows what tomorrow may bring.

Let us be careful not to neglect all that He is telling us.

We should all desire to enjoy a day of grace.

To reap all the blessings He has for us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, help us to understand the need to make the right decisions. To know that You have a plan for our lives. One that always has a positive outcome in the end. That when we follow the lead of the Savior all our sins can be forgiven, and we can put our hope and trust in Him. Thank You for always being there to help us make the right decisions.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
