Sin Put Away

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.  Hebrews 9:26 KJV

Sin comes in many forms.  They can be in thoughts, as well as deeds.

In this world, anyone who commits a crime is subject to a punishment rendered by the judicial system, law enforcement or other authorized entities.

They can range from something as severe as murder to some as minor as an unpaid parking ticket.

And we must be mindful of what we think because they can be easily turned into a sin,

The Bible tells us about how the Israelites would gather for what was known as a Day of Atonement and the high priest would talk to God and make the sacrifice of a goat and a bullock on their behalf, for all of their sins.

In Leviticus 16, the High Priest was Aaron.

We all have sinned.  Our Day of Atonement came when Jesus sacrificed His life for us on the cross.

His sacrifice for us was a far greater pardon than anything the law could do.

Once we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, we must continue to walk in His grace, His Word and not return to the ways of the devil and the world.

He does not want any of us to face eternal punishment.  If it was not true, He would not have sacrificed His life for us.

The day of judgement is coming.  Don’t let the sacrifice for your life, that Christ made, be in vain.

A WORD OF PRAYER

The Lord, our Redeemer, liveth and we thank Him for the sacrifice He made for us. For  making it possible for us to be forgiven of our sins.   May we continue, daily, to remember this and walk in His way, so we shall see Him and hear Him say “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
