SING YOUR SONG

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  Colossians 3:16 KJV

This scripture came at a time confirming, once again, that the book I am in the process of writing is in-line with the Word.

There is nothing like a good inspirational song.

A song reflecting on life situations, reminding us of what God has promised, through the Word, and how it comes to pass.

A song worshiping God by showing Him the deep respect and adoration He is deserving of. Thanking Him for all He has done for us.

A song of praise to God, publicly giving Him special honor, acknowledging who He is in our lives, celebrating Him with the words from our mouths and in our hearts.

The world is filled with many life situations and to hear them reflected in song, showing how we can make it through with the Lord on our side, is one of the many forms of encouragement we have.

That is why our worship means so much.  We need to constantly let God know we appreciate all He is doing for us.

But the greatest is the ability to give God all the glory, all the praise for how He has blessed us. This is done by testifying about how good He is and all He has done for us. Letting others know He can do the same for them, no matter the situation.

The Lord has given us wisdom and knowledge through the Word.

To live in love, patience and forgiveness.

To sing a song of life, worship and praise.

To share it with all who will listen.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Through the Word and through songs, let the peace of God rule in our lives, our hearts, our spirits and our souls.  Let us be full of the Scriptures and of the grace of Christ, so when we sing the affect it has on us will be seen by many and draw them nearer to You Lord. And when they ask us why we sing, we can tell them all the more about how Your Word is here for all of us and the blessings in store for them.  Thank you Lord.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
