Staying In Tune – Always Great to Overcome Sinful Ways

Read: 1 John 1:1-2:2

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 1:9 KJV

Before any performance, all the instruments involved need to be checked.

The Director wants to make sure that every musician has what they need to perform well.

That harmony is felt in the music they would be playing.

Knowing that anything that nothing is out of tune.

Keeping them from accomplishing the goal of a wonderful concert.

He wants the audience to leave feeling good about what they experienced.

The same holds true when our lives are out of tune with the Savior.

He does not want the things of life to cause us to compromise or neglect doing things according to the Word.

When we do, we are out of tune with the Father.

The fellowship and joy we had with Him and others only become a memory.

It can happen to any of us.

Selfish attitudes and negative thinking can be the start of it.

But just like a musician, we have a Director who can help us fine tune things.

He wants us to live a life free from sin.

We know this because the Father gave us a testimony to the sinfulness of the world when He sent Jesus to be a Sacrifice for our sins.

Fine tuning comes when “we confess our sins.”

That when we do, “He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 KJV).

Showing us that we have a Director that wants to make sure we perform well in life.

So when we know we are out of tune with the Word, go to Him.

Honestly confessing our sins.

Being humble and willing to know how bad off we are.

Our lives will always be better when we trust in Him for our deliverance from the power and practice of sin.

Never forgetting, when our hearts are in tune with the Savior, we will always find harmony.

Like any good concert, the more we praise our spirits will be lifted.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know we cannot hide our sins from You. You always know what is in our hearts. We know we have to fine tune some things. That the only way we can do it is to confess our sins to You. To change our ways and live according to the Word. Knowing that confession is the fastest way for us to get a brand-new start in life. Thank You for being the Director that makes sure all goes well.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
