Today’s Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
Today’s Verse: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
Life is full of different circumstances. We never know what we may face in the course of a day.
It can cause us to be in a state of complaining and stressing.
Those are the times we have to remember that the Lord told us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV).
Those who are walking by faith will always have a life of constant joy.
The more we pray and seek His guidance, nothing can keep us down.
When we fail to do this, it will not be long before sin takes control of our lives. Making it difficult to see the blessings that being thankful brings.
We must hold fast to that which is good and positive. Searching the Scriptures is our main source of knowledge in all things.
The Word will help us abstain from sin, whatever looks like sin, leads to it, and borders upon it.
There will still be those times when difficult circumstance will make it hard to say, “Thank You Savior.”
But those are the times we must remind ourselves that our God who sees every situation as an opportunity to trust Him.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV).
We may not see His purpose, but He has one.
By grace and our faith in Him, we can be thankful for all things.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we honor You with our words, but many times our actions reveal that our hearts do not trust You. We let our situations and circumstances take control. Help us to see You at work in every one of them, no matter how difficult. For Your love and grace we are forever thankful. We put our trust in You.
