For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16 KJV
Holding to our faith in Christ.
We should all have a desire to let others know about Him.
Finding glory when we deny ourselves to serve Him and save souls.
That was the essence of Paul’s ministry to the Jews.
Which helps us to understand how he made such an impact for God.
“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16 KJV).
Paul looked at the rules that applied to their laws of worship as a yoke taken off by Christ.
He knew the importance of making sure the people understood how they should be conducting themselves.
To do away their prejudices and encourage them to hear the gospel.
To bring them to Christ.
That is why he made the sacrifice and devoted his life to minister for the sake of the gospel.
By freely doing so, the apostle acted from the principles of zeal and love.
Preaching and testifying about the goodness of the Lord.
As children of God, being a living testimony of His goodness is our mission.
Touching the hearts of others is our goal.
In a way that leads them to seeking the Divine blessings meant for their lives.
A ministry that leads to much comfort and hope to the soul.
Paul had a deep feeling regarding the gospel.
About the need to spread it to all who would listen.
May we be the one of those who love Christ and have the same desire to help others come to know Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that it is Your desire that all men come to You. And as You have loved us, we are to show the same love to others. Praying that lost souls will desire to change their ways and seek after You. We know that the time we sacrifice will never compare to the sacrifice You made. That what we do is needed to draw those in need to You. Give us the strength to never give up. To continue to spread the Word. To testify of Your goodness to all who will hear. Our love for You is the foundation of our love for others.
