The Most Magnificent Light: Wonderful in All His Ways

Today’s Reading: John 1:1-14

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9 KJV

We know that when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the world was not the way God desired it to be.

Jesus came into a world filled with moral and spiritual darkness.

A darkness in the hearts and minds of men.

A darkness that caused great divisions among the people.

The Father saw the need to send a witness to call attention to it.

Jesus came to bring life and light to all (John 1:4 KJV).

John was also a man sent of God.

He was sent to “bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe” (John 1:6-8 KJV).

Telling those who would listen of the “true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (John 1:9 KJV).

“[Jesus] came unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11 KJV).

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12 KJV).

There will always be something that tries to change our way of doing things.

Those are the times we must remind ourselves that matter what we are facing in life to stand on His promises.

Through faith in the Savior and the Word, we can begin to move in a more positive direction.

In Him is where our strength lies.

The Father is always at work to make us who He intends for us to be.

It is up to each of us to receive what He has for our lives.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that Christ was in the world when He took our nature upon Himself and dwelt among us. That He was in the world, but not of the world. How He came to save a lost world, because it was a world of his own making. In this season let us remember He has given us the gift of life and light. That He wants us to do all we can to better our lives and the lives of others better. To fulfill the desire to share the light and life of Christ to others today.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
