The Thirsty Soul – Powerful Hope in His Unfailing Love

Today’s Reading: Psalms 143:1-6

Today’s Verse: Thine, I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.” Psalms 143:6 KJV

If we never needed God before, to show up and restore, we need Him now.

There is so much going on in our lives. There is so much going on in the world.

But we know there can be no true restoration except through the Lord.

His desire is for every person to come to Him and receive His salvation.

In Him is where our faith lies.

The world and our lives would be so much better if we all lived by His Word.

David would stretch out his hands to God. It was his way of prayer. His way of humbly reaching out to God for help.

He had a desire for God’s presence. He desired God’s favor.

This verse is a powerful expression of faith.

David knew what the test and trials of life felt like. He knew that they came to make him stronger in faith.

We all have a need for God’s love and grace.

Like a desert plant needing water, our souls need God’s presence to thrive.

In Him we have the victory.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, there is so much going on in the world and in our lives. There are feelings of hurt. Feelings of defeat. Feelings of shame. So many things that are trying to bring us down. We know that You will always make a way out of no way. We just have to put our hope and trust in You. Staying rooted in the Word. Always coming to You in prayer. We come to You with our arms outstretched. Acknowledging that we need You. Thank You for always being there for us.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
