Today’s Reading: Hebrews 4:11-16
Today’s Verse: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 KJV
Hard work. It calls for someone to be dedicated. They make every effort towards achieving a goal.
They stay focused and maintain through it all. Even when the tasks are difficult or not interesting.
It is not just about the number of hours they keep. It is also about the effort and commitment to seeing something through to the end.
Living a life of Christ can be challenging. There are moments when we want to give up.
All believers are encouraged to continue in good works. We have the promise that we will eventually see the results of our efforts if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9 KJV).
In those moments, we can go to God in prayer.
We can approach His throne with boldness and confidence. We do it not as a stranger or an outsider. We approach it as one who is His own.
That is why today’s verse encourages us to come boldly to the throne of grace.
All things are made possible through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the Mediator between God and mankind.
It is through His sacrifice that we are reconciled to God. Making it where we have access to His grace.
His throne. It is where we can obtain mercy. Our help in a time of need.
We must come with a deep feeling of respect, worship, and love. A feeling of great surprise and wonder.
Through Christ we all have access to God’s presence. We all can receive His grace and mercy.
Approach Him with confidence. Seeking forgiveness and grace to help in a time of need.
He will always provide guidance, strength, and wisdom.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16 KJV).
He is always there for us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we come before Your throne with boldness. We know You have a love for us. That You will show us mercy. That You have a willingness to help us. That it is not done based on our works, but because of Your grace. We want to be vessels that are used by You. Helping to spread the Word of Your goodness. Your blessed will for all mankind. We know our labor is not in vain. We know that when it is all said and done, we have a sweet and satisfying rest in our future. Thank You for the access we have to the throne. To Your grace and mercy.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
