Today’s Reading: Romans 12:6-21
Today’s Verse: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. Romans 12:10 KJV
“Bucket list.” Many of us have one.
It is a list of experiences or things to complete, Ones that a person hopes to have or do during their lifetime.
It may be a desire to skydive, travel, spend time with family, or financial stability.
Goals they want to accomplish before the Father calls them home.
Some we will complete. Some we will not.
Have you made one?
No matter what the goal is, it can have an impact on our lives.
A positive result is the goal.
God has given each of us a gift (Romans 12:6-21 KJV).
The Apostle Paul tells us that God desires that we know how to properly use them in everyday life.
All our gifts have a purpose. All designed to end in a positive way.
We are not to be selfish. We are to use them to help others.
Loving one another should be one of the things on the list.
We must “be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another” (Romans 12:10 KJV).
Love.
Our love to God comes first. He was the first to show us love.
His love is what makes us wise Christians in all our ways.
As parents the love for our children is more tender and natural than any other.
The more we walk in His love, we will not only do what is good, but we will stick to it.
Apostle Paul demonstrated this behavior. His ministry focused on the next generation of believers.
His behavior was guided by generosity. He showed hospitality, forgiveness, and compassion.
A great example to be followed.
Love.
The love we show to each other should be sincere and freely given to others.
That is why brotherly love should definitely be among the first things on our list.
It is one of the many gifts that God has given to us.
This will be the easiest thing to check off the bucket list.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, one thing we want in life is to know Your love. We want to be free from sin. To have a grace for giving with a spirt love. We want our life and all our living to honor You and those we encounter in life. Thank You for showing us what it means to focus on other and not on ourselves. Brotherly love is one of the things at the top of our bucket list. Loving You is always first.
