Today’s Reading: James 4:1-10
Today’s Verse: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 KJV
We all want to feel good about the things in life.
Sometimes things in life will try to bring us down.
There will be times when the sun will refuse to shine and skies are gray.
Those are the times we must encourage ourselves. Speak joy into your life.
The joy you feel on the inside will show up on the outside.
Hebrews 13:5 KJV encourages us to live free from greed. He knows that money and possessions play a role in how we feel.
First Timothy 6:10 KJV tells us, “For the love of money is the root of all evil.”
We must be content with what we have.
Never forgetting God’s promise that “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” He will always be there to supply our needs (Philippians 4:19 KJV).
He will always be present and support us through all circumstances. He will never abandon us.
Let our hands go up and praise Him. Thanking Him for what He is doing in our lives.
Continuing to show brotherly love, hospitality, and compassion.
The Lord will always provide security, joy, and peace. Making all worldly worries less significant.
The joy we feel on the inside will show up on the outside. The happiness meant for our lives will never be denied when we trust His Word.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know there will be days we will feel down. But that will not be today. You can make all that comes against us to turn to our good. Our hands go up and we praise You. There is happiness in our lives today that cannot be denied. We feel good. Thank You for being there for us. The joy we feel on the inside is going to show up on the outside. It will not be denied.
