What A Savior!

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.  John 19:30 KJV

Tasks are always forthcoming.

They can be in the form of an action, activity, or a piece of work.

Something you can volunteer for or can be  assigned to do.

There will be times when the task is difficult or on short notice, requiring someone to step up and save the day.

A successful completion is the desired outcome.

At which time, it is considered finished.

Jesus was sent by the Father to complete a task.

A task that dealt with the salvation of all mankind.

A task that was more difficult than anything any of us will face in our lifetime.

A task that required Him to sacrifice His life for us.

He was sinless and didn’t have to do it.

He suffered long and hard for us.

In the end, was able to declare, it is finished, before bowing his head and giving up the ghost.

The task of man’s redemption and salvation was completed.

What a Savior!

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, because Your life was not taken by force, but freely given up.  Thank You for the sacrifice You made. Taking on a task that made it possible for us to live freely and not in the bondage of sin.  May we never forget the sacrifice You made and live according to Your Word.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
