Read:2 Samuel 22:1-20
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind. 2 Samuel 22:11 KJV
When we think of a kite, we immediately see a toy consisting of a light frame with thin material stretched over it.
It is flown in the wind at the end of a long string.
But a kite can also symbolize freedom and courage.
In our Bible reading today, David’s song of deliverance refers to him seeing God “upon the wings of the wind” (2 Samuel 22:11 KJV).
That no matter the circumstance, David saw in its God’s hand of Divine intervention.
Giving him cause to rejoice, because it made him feel safe and secure (2 Samuel 22:20 KJV).
There are winds of difficulty and hardship that will come our way.
Those are the times we have to be like David.
We are to always put our trust in God.
When we do, we shall find Him to be a present help to us in our greatest moments of danger and distress.
The more we hold on to God in faith, we will see that He is “upon the winds of the wind” helping us to fulfill all that He has predestined for our lives.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that You move in mysterious ways. But just like a kite, we know in You we can rise high when the winds of trouble blow our way. You will always perform great wonders in our lives. You will always be the wings of the wind that help us fulfill the purpose You have for our lives. Thank You for helping us continue to rise and give You glory.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
