Wise Choices

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.  Isaiah 55:2 KJV

As consumers we have all taken suggestions or recommendations from others, especially manufacturers.

Before doing so, there are many things we all need to consider.

From reading about the products.  Finding out about their quality and their life expectancy.

As well as, comparing the prices of items and shopping accordingly.

To reminding ourselves of the budget we have set. Not buying on impulse.

Living life as a wise consumer is something we all should desire.

The same holds true for our Christian lives.

The life of a wise spiritual consumer.

We don’t want to be a spiritual consumer that is spiritually unwise.

Not one acting on impulse, rather than on God’s faithfulness to guide us.

But always reading the Word to obtain the spiritual food that fulfills our lives.

Food that is so good that when we eat of it our soul rejoices in the abundance of knowledge we receive.

When we do all of this, we stay on the “budget” He has set for us.

A budget awarded by the grace He supplies to keep us from the mental, physical and spiritual stresses we place on ourselves.

The Lord is our “Ultimate Advisor.”

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, You are the “Ultimate Advisor” changing how we look at things through a spiritual eye, not through man’s eyes.  Thank You for helping us to make wise decisions.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
