Wonderful Blessings: Unlimited in Life When You Worship Him

Today’s Reading: Psalms 95 / Matthew 2:1-12

Today’s Verse: O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Psalms 95:6 KJV

Many of the manger scenes portray the wise men, or magi, as visiting Jesus in Bethlehem at the same time as the shepherds.

But in the gospel of Matthew, Scriptures indicate otherwise.

It is the only place where it is found that the magi showed up later.

Jesus was no longer in the manger in a stable at the inn.

He was in a house.

The Scriptures say, “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew 2:11 KJV).

When we recognize that the magi’s visit happened later than we think gives us a helpful reminder as we begin a new year.

The Savior is always worthy of worship.

The holidays are past.

Many are heading back to life’s everyday routines.

But we still have Someone to celebrate.

Jesus Christ is Immanuel.

Which means, “God with us” (Mattew 1:23 KJV).

To Him all power is given, both in heaven and earth.

He promised to be with us always (Matthew 28:20 KJV).

He is with us in every season.

Giving us the greatest reason to worship Him in our hearts every day.

To trust that He will show Himself faithful in the years to come.

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker” (Psalms 95:6 KJV).

He is the Author of our blessedness.

Kneeling down before Him.

Showing that we know where all our help comes from.

He is worthy of our praise.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we are Your flock. Christ is the great and good Shepherd of all believers. He continues to seek those who are lost. Those that need to be brought back to the fold. Just like the magi sought You, may we seek You too. Thanking and praising You no matter where we are. You are the Author of our blessedness. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
