Wondrous: God’s Loving Desires – Your Heart of Amazing Belief

Today’s Reading: 1 Timothy 2:1-8 KJV

Today’s Verse: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4 KJV

Life brings on many challenges.

It is up to us to determine which way we will manage them.

In this passage, Paul is talking about worship and prayer.

He uses them to present and even greater truth.

He is talking about God’s loving desire for us.

We know it can be easy for us to become self-satisfied in our faith.

We can even come to think that we are somehow deserving of God’s love.

Forgetting God came as a man to die for our sins.

That His love for us is about who He is, not who we are.

The Father desires that all men be saved (1 Timothy 2:3 KJV).

Our salvation involves not only the Lord’s work of deliverance from eternal death but also His gift of eternal life.

When the Father looks at our hearts, He sees nothing that motivates Him to save us.

We have no righteousness or goodness in us.

As an alternative, our Father chooses to save us because He loves us (Ephesians 2:4 KJV).

So, “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness” (Ephesians 2:7 KJV).

We all have different ways in which we experience the grace of God.

Prayer to be made for all.

The grace of the gospel makes no difference of ranks or stations.

As we live on the Lord’s mercy, we also perform His work.

When we do, all will see the goodness of God. Giving glory to Him.

“[We] are the light of the world” (Matthew 4:14 KJV).

We are charged with being lights here on earth to reflect the Father.

Throughout the day let us remember the love He has for us.

A love so strong that He died in our place.

His heartfelt love is to be felt by us all.

With His love, all things are possible.

Let us be open to receiving it.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, as disciples of Christ, we must be a praying people. We must not let sin come between us and You. The Savior is our Mediator. He brings peace to every situation. That is why we must continue to walk in goodness and honesty. Our worshipping You in the right way is the beginning. Showing You great love because of who You are in our lives. Showing good conduct towards all men also has a place in our lives. Thank You for being a loving God. For always being there for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
