Read: Ephesians 2
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19 KJV
Identity Crisis.
It is defined as a” period of uncertainty or confusion in a person’s life.”
Any changes, no matter how big or small, can cause us to question who we are,
To make us question in which direction we are heading.
Our personal identity is important.
It is linked to the things we learn as we walk through life.
They can be good, or they can be bad.
That is why knowing our spiritual identity is of great importance.
We all need to know God and understand who we are with Him.
It must not be ignored, because it has an even greater meaning regarding how we live our lives.
It is the best motivation that keeps us on the right track.
The Scriptures tells us that “God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27 KJV).
We are His children, and He wants us to know who we are in Him.
To determine if we are going to be the one who lives a life of unbelief or the one who is a part of His family.
We all know that after Adam and Eve forgot whose they were, sin was able to have a place in the lives of man.
Making it where the Father had to put into play a way to save us.
A plan that would help mankind remember where they came from.
Spiritual Identity.
His way to help us determine if we are going to be the one who is a child of God, or the one who lives a life of unbelief and sin.
We should all want to belong to God’s family
Knowing we can do it by our faith in Jesus Christ,
The Savior sacrificed Himself on the cross for us.
That while man was in sin, He came to make peace with the Father for us all.
Making it possible to get closer to the Father and learn more about who we are.
We do this when we come into His presence with a heart of worship.
When we have a desire to receive the teachings of the Holy Spirit, who is one with the Father and the Son (Ephesians 2:16-18 KJV).
Once we come to acknowledge our spiritual identity, we will see a change in who we are.
He will tell us. “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19 KJV).
Our new identity shows that we are believers and God dwells in us.
We have become the temple of God.
All through the working of the blessed Spirit.
Do you know your spiritual identity?
It is important that we do.
There is still time to make sure that you know who you are and whose you are.
Be the one identified as a believer.
The one who has given their life to Christ.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we all have to face a time in our lives when we must make an identity check. We need to no longer be making a personal identity check, but also a spiritual one. Understanding that the Father created us in His image. That You died for our sins so we could have a good life. That when we acknowledge who we are in You, the Holy Spirit is always here to remind of whose we are. That the more we stay in the Word, we learn more about who we are. Thank You for reminding us of how blessed we are as one of Your children.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
