A Hunger of the Soul

Read: Psalms 84:1-7

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Psalms 84:2 KJV

There are many times in our lives when we look back and think about something we heard from our parents or someone else who had concerns about the decisions they made in their lives.

They were telling us things because they love and care about us.

To hear them speak about their situations and how far the Lord has brought them really helped many of us to realize that the Lord desires to do the same in our lives.

That all we must do is cry out to Him, with a true desire to learn, and surrender our souls to Him (v. 2).

Knowing that when we do, His ordinances will teach us about who we are and remind us of what the plans are for our lives.

That what the Lord is trying to teach us is done with an abundance of love.

Because as the Word says, “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them (1 John 4:16 NIV).

Just like our family wants the best for us, so does the Lord.

We can always look at His unchanging love as a great source of hope and peace.

As we continue to seek Him, we grow in grace.

In the end, all will be perfect in glory.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that You desire for each of us to want to learn more of You. That You have a lot to teach us. Thank You for the compassion You have for us as we strive to obey Your Word each day. Our hearts and our flesh cry out for You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
