Accept, Ignore or Trash?

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. John 14:16 KJV

A memorandum is a message for use now and in the future.

They begin with“To”; then “From”; a “Subject” line, then the “Body.”

It is filled with the information they want you to have.

Sometimes we read them and other times we ignore or trash them.

It really depends on how we feel, whether it is from someone we really want to hear from or something we really want to know about.

That is what we often do when we hear a Word from the Lord.

We make the choice to either receive, ignore or reject God and what He is trying to tell us.

He is contacting us:

TO: (Your Name); FROM: God; SUBJECT: A Gift for You.

When we choose to open it, we find information on why we should choose to accept Jesus as our Savior, repent of our sins and walk in faith.

The gift of salvation is ours.

Additional memos followed, with even more gifts.

This past Sunday was Pentecost Sunday.

A time to remember that God and His Son together gave even more to all believers; another gift – the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is an advocate, counsellor, monitor, and comforter.

He is a guiding force to every believer.

A gift, that if we allow Him, He will lead us to a better understanding of God’s Word.

Giving us the assurance of God’s care and keeping power.

All of God’s gifts will abide with us to the end of time.

God’s gifts and graces will be there to encourage our hearts.

Transforming us into the likeness of Christ.

Let’s not ignore the Lord’s correspondence to us.

They come to us in many ways at all hours of the day.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, may we understand the importances of Your Word. To read and experience all the benefits of the Holy Spirit. One of the greatest gifts that anyone could receive. We will be reading all Your future correspondences. We promise.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
