All Are Welcome, Make Sure To Invite Someone Today

Read:  Matthew 9:9-13

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 9:13 KJV

Each of us have the opportunity to invite someone to visit their church.

But how often do we?

It is challenging for some of us, because we have tried to invite someone before but the invite was rejected.

We should not allow this to be a reason not to continue to invite others.

Remembering the true reason why we are doing it.

There is always someone in need of a Word from the Lord.

We know by experience what the grace of Christ can do.

There is so much going on in the world, we never know who needs the mercy that the Lord desires to show each of us.

Someone out there needs to know that they can be saved and reap a harvest of blessings.

That there is always an open invitation to come fellowship and worship.

Many will not understand this, just like the Pharisees.

They saw Jesus sit “at the meat in the house” and how many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Him (v.10).

They questioned the disciples as to why the Lord was eating with “publicans and sinners” (v.11).

They were having problems with it because they deemed themselves to be whole.

They couldn’t understand that the publicans and sinners knew they wanted the guidance and mercy the Lord was showing.

Jesus heard them talking and responded, “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick” do (v. 12).

His desire was not to “call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (v.13).

The time He took to spend with sinners is called mercy.

Mercy being the greatest act to encourage the conversion of souls.

Be encouraged to invite someone to church.

Letting them know if they can’t attend right then, that there is an open invitation.

The Lord’s mercy is shown to us all.

As His disciples we are to encourage others to come and receive it as well.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we know that it Your desire that all should hear the Word and receive salvation. It comes with the knowledge we receive. Remembering how when we were yet in sin, You showed us mercy.  A mercy that is never-ending. We will spread the word to others with the hope that they will repent from their sins and receive mercy too. You desire to bless us all.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
