All Because

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 KJV

There are things which may lawfully be complied with, yet, when they cannot be done without betraying the truth, they ought to be refused.

We must not give place to any conduct, whereby the truth of the gospel would be reflected upon.

Though Paul conversed with the other apostles, he refused to take credit for his spiritual insights and influences. Many were looking up to him.

He admitted that he had worked hard and went through times of suffering to encourage the faith, hope and love of those around him. But he could not, deep down inside, accept the accolades of those who were inspired by his faith, love and understanding.

In effect, Paul was telling the people that it was not him, it was Christ.

Here we learn that the gospel is not ours, but God’s. That we are just the keepers of it. Messengers of the One who deserves the accolades for all He has done, and is, doing for us.

For this we are to praise God. It all because of Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, without You we would have nothing. Without Your grace, we would be hopeless, Helpless without the love shown of Jesus. Thank You. We praise and give honor to You for all You have done.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
