The Right Sweets Can Be Good

Read: Psalms 119:100-106

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalms 119:103 KJV

The love of reading a good book is just like being able to eat a dessert you most love.

One that the words hold your interest and is so tasteful and sweet, you want to tell others about it.

One that when we read it we see where we missed something.

That is what the Bible should be to us all.

Something we should carry with us, if not in our hands, we do in our heads and our hearts.

When we understand our own hearts, we begin to learn to meditate on God’s testimonies.

We begin to understand more than what we might learn from someone else.

The written Word is a sure guide that will lead us to Heaven.

When we begin to search the Scriptures, and feast on what it says, we will see that God’s Words are sweet to the taste and sweeter than honey in our mouths.

This passage of Psalms may be considered as a statement of a believer’s experience.

Once we read it and understand, we will be one of the ones that tells, as well as hears, testimonies that bear witness to the truths expressed in this passage.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know the written word is a more sure guide to Heaven. More sure than all the fathers, the teachers, and ancients of the church. Let us love to read our Bibles more. Because a well-read Bible is the sign of a well-fed soul. We should all desire to be well-fed and not hunger.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
