Praises For It All

Read: Colossians 1:13-19/ Hebrews 1:1-12

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. Colossians 1:16 KJV

The act of bringing something out of nothing is called creation.

We are all creations of God.

“For by Him were all things created” (v. 16).

Think about it.

Astronomers study the objects of the sky, like stars, but we know who created them.

God did.

Mountains are elevated portions of Earth. They sit high and produce colder climates.

We climb them and admire the beautiful view below them.

We all know who did that too.

God did.

We have oceans that are huge bodies of water that cover a great portion of Earth’s surface.

We go out on boats, fish, and admire the many things found in them.

Yep, God did it!

For everything, seen and unseen, that exists, God did it.

He even sent Christ in human nature to help us see that although we could not see Him, He existed.

It was His way of reminding us that He was in control of all creations.

That by His power, all things were created and made according to His desire.

That man would not exist if it had not been for Him.

As endless are God’s blessings are, we should never forget to give Him praise and glorify His name.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, with a prayer in our hearts and our desire to abound in our holy duties, we look to You. We want to die to sin and live according to Your Word. We know all things were made by You and belong to You. That this includes us. For this we give You praise.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
