Down In Our Hearts

Read: Psalms 119:8-14 KJV

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11 KJV

It is not uncommon for any of us to have a bad feeling about something we are about to do or have done.

During our upbringing or from our encounters in the world, making the right decisions can be hard.

We know deep down in our hearts that we have to be careful, because of the possible outcomes.

But we all have the ability to make the right choice.

It is a gift from God.

It is a blessing to have the ability to receive signals about what we are doing.

The signals that give us the ability to make the right choices and correct the bad ones.

Reading the Word is the best way for us to understand what God views as right and wrong.

The things we need to keep doing, because they are in line with what He wants for us, and the sins we need to get out of our lives.

The Word arms us with truth, which gives us the strength to resist our weak moments.

In the way of God’s commandments, we find

the ability to clearly understand the riches of Christ.

When we meditate on God’s ways we are able to make good choices.

He is the one we can trust with our private thoughts.

Our good thoughts produce good works.

The Word arms us with the truth of God.

No matter where we are, we should thank God for the Scriptures and our conscience.

Both are the sources in which we should meditate to gain the strength we need in our fight to resist temptation.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we thank You for our conscience. It arms us with the truth of Your Word. Making it possible for us to resist temptation. May it forever stay hidden in our hearts so we may not sin against Thee.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
