When we hear the word testify, we automatically think of it as one who gives evidence as a witness in a court of law.
The person is speaking from a personal experience or knowledge.
It can be scary.
But when called, we are under oath to tell the truth.
When we give our lives to Christ, we take an oath.
To live according to His Word and to tell the truth about what He has done in our lives.
As Christians the oath we take is built upon the foundation of faith.
Giving us the ability to testify about His goodness and mercy.
The same faith the apostles and prophets built their testimonies on.
Sometimes we may feel uncomfortable about speaking out.
There is a feeling that what we say won’t make any difference.
Don’t be afraid to speak out.
The Father would not have let us go through the things we have gone through for nothing.
Our personal experiences serve as proof that the Lord truly sees and cares about what happens to all of us.
How He is there to show us that we can do all things through Him and come out victorious.
Our testimony could even be about something that happened in the life of someone else we know and they told us about it.
Even more evidence of how the Lord is there for us all.
As witnesses of Christ, we are called on to tell the truth about His transforming powers.
Our testimonies make a world of difference.
When we tell someone else about Christ, they can be led to God and repent of their sins.
If they accept the Lord, they will be justified by grace through faith.
They are now a living testimony of His saving grace and can begin to share their stories with others.
Be the living testimony that someone needs to hear about.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, take control of our words today. Someone needs to know that You are there for us, no matter what we are going through. By the power of the Holy Ghost let our witness be proof of Your everlasting Love.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
