God’s Children

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Romans 8:16 KJV

There can be many disappointments in life. The job we wanted didn’t happen; friends we thought we could count on let us down; a relationship we longed for didn’t work out.

Even as heartbreaking as things may be, God’s Word speaks a refreshing truth about our hope in Him.

In Romans 3, the Apostle Paul speaks on how suffering produces perseverance, which produces character, which produces hope.

That our hope does not put us to shame or disappoint us.

That God’s love, through the Holy Spirit, has been poured out into our hearts.

Just like a father loves and protects his children, God is doing the same for us.

We are His children; sanctified through Him.

We have God’s Spirit witnessing with our spirits, who in and by His speaking, speaks peace to our souls.

As we place our trust in Him, we experience the love He has for us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, in a world filled with disappointments, it is good to know that You give us hope. May we continue to place our trust in You and the perfect, never-ending love You bestow on each of us. Thank You for making us Your children.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
