Regeneration is a way to replace or restore something that was lost.
Reconciliation is when a relationship is brought back or to a friendly state.
Spiritually, for or all of us, there is a necessity of regeneration. We are lost, gotten lost, and are separated from the Lord. We have a need to begin or restore our relationship with God through Christ.
When we accept Christ, the renewed man acts upon new principles, new rules, with new ends, and in new company.
Those of us who had previously accepted Him, and lost our way, need to return to Him.
Even though we still have a human nature, we are changed in our character and conduct.
We are the workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.
It is so good to know that this change is more than an outward reformation.
In the end, the regenerated man, who previously saw no beauty in the Savior, now desires Him, and loves Him above all things.
That God has reconciled us through the sacrifice of Christ. That He did all this so we might become one with Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You for being born and preparing a way of us. You became one of us, making it possible for us to become one with the Father. May the new creation You have formed in us continue to adhere to the Word and live a happy and meaningful life.
