The Best Makeover

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:27 KJV

We all know that outward changes, like a new wardrobe or a makeover, can influence how we feel. Who wouldn’t want to improve their life with something as easy as a new look?

Many of us have learned the hard way, that this is not solving our deep-rooted problems. They are external changes that offer hope for a quick improvement of the situation.

Although this may change it for a moment, the Scripture encourages us to seek a better remedy, one that is impossible to do on our own.

When we look at Galatians 3, Paul is trying to persuade the people on what to do or not to do by giving reasons.

He argued that even God’s law, which was a precious gift revealing His will, couldn’t heal the brokenness of God’s people.

That true healing and freedom could only be obtained through faith. That one must be clothed in Christ through His Spirit.

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, relying on Him alone for justification and salvation, we become the sons of God.

We are clothed in righteousness. Set apart and shaped through Him, finding our identity and worth. Knowing that every believer is equally an heir of all of God’s promises.

It can be easy to attempt self-improvement, but it is in Jesus that true and lasting changes are possible.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we are so grateful that we do not have to rely on ourselves in our day to day lives. Thank You for Your Spirit and how it renews us every day and draws us closer to You and Your Love.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
