Colossians 3:11 KJV
We all have different characteristics and abilities.
Some of these are based on race, gender, social roles, sexual orientation, education, skills, income, and other factors.
For some it is hard to understand that everyone is unique and recognizes their individual differences have value.
When Paul wrote to the Church of Colossae, he was reminding them that a person’s status in society or their race did not matter.
That “Christ is all and in all.”
That no matter our status, when we receive Christ, The Lord accepts us all.
He also urged them to clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (v12).
But most of all, ‘Love’, which binds all men together in perfect unity (v14).
All the things the Lord has shown us.
Our lives continue to be a work in progress, and no matter our social or racial status, we as believers should have a love for Christ.
Continuing to pursue understanding, peace and unity as members of His body.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that it is necessary for us to not engage in the sins of discrimination, because if we do not keep them from having a place in our lives, they will keep us from doing Your will. It is our duty to live holy and according to Your Word. Knowing that we are one in You. You are our All, our hope and happiness. Our Creator of unity during it all.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
