H.O.M.E.

A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.
 Proverbs 17:25 KJV

I truly like the saying:  “Home is where the heart is.”

True mothers and fathers strive to live an honest, respectful life and raise their children to be honest and respectful also. Full of love and wanting the best for them.

Unfortunately, some children do not heed the early training their parents tried to give them and find themselves in trouble, living a rough life or a life that is truly not all that it should be.

They are considered to be wicked children who despise the authority of their father, and the tenderness of their mother.

No matter our age, it breaks a parent’s heart to see their child go astray and forget what they had been taught.

Don’t be a child that does this.

Seek the forgiveness of the Lord and repent of your ways.

Make your parents proud, giving them the love and honor they deserve. Showing them that their teachings weren’t in vain.

This is a great acronym I saw: H.O.M.E.

Honor your father and mother (Ephesians 6:1-3)

Obey your parents in all things (Colossians 3:20)

Make strong paths for your feet (Hebrews 12:12-17)

Exercise yourself to godliness (1 Timothy 4:7-10)

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior,  we pray that the honest and respectful ways parents are trying to teach their children will be accepted and adhered too.  That there will be constant reminders that first and foremost, they should be acknowledging the Lord, because He is the greatest at directing their paths and acknowledge what they have been taught by their parents.  No one should want to be deemed a foolish child.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
