1 Corinthians 11:31 KJV
Life is full of challenges and we must judge ourselves daily to ensure our verdict is not guilty.
In this passage, the Apostle Paul, is warning us to beware of the temporal judgements with which God chastises those who are offensive.
He wants to ensure we know that by examining ourselves, confessing what we did wrong and getting things right with God, we can prevent the Divine judgements that we would ultimately face.
We need to do this daily, because there will come a time when we will be judged of God and we want to ensure that we have obtained His mercy and forgiveness beforehand.
Self-examination, our chance to get things right before we are judged of God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, help us to realize that self-examining ourselves is vital to stopping the Divine judgements we will face. That by going through the troubles in this world, dealing with them according to the Word is so much better than being miserable for ever.
