Doing Your Duty

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.  John 11:9 KJV

We can find it difficult to do the things God has in store for our lives.  We stumble, because of fear and uncertainty.

If we walk in the ways of our heart, or according to the course of this world, relying on our own carnal reasonings more than the will and glory of God, we fall into all manner of temptations and snares.

Jesus is the light in our darkest hours.

He never brings us into any danger that  He is not with us every step of the way.

Just like when He told the disciples that He was going into Bethany, even though they had tried to kill Him before, He knew that His time for doing the will of God would not be shortened by the dangers set by His enemies.

There will be times when what we are called to do may seem dangerous, but we need not be afraid because the Lord is with us.  We just need to follow His steps and He will lead us every step of the way.

Then will we find the comfort and satisfaction as set forth by the Word of God.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, You have taught us, by Your own example, to call out to God, our Father, in prayer, and to draw nigh to Him with humble reverence and holy boldness. Showing all men that we are His children, not afraid to live according to or do His will.  Thank You Lord.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
