Matthew 5:14 KJV
Daylight comes to the earth when the sun’s rays are scattered and filtered through the earth’s atmosphere.
As the earth rotates away from the sun, we have what we call sunset, then nighttime when those areas become dark. So dark that things can be hidden.
The assurance is in knowing that as it continues to rotate, the sun will shine again.
There are times in our lives when things get dark and we feel like the sun won’t shine again.
We hit a realm of spiritual darkness.
That’s when we have to put our faith in Jesus all the more and let His light shine in our lives.
Darkness cannot overtake us because we are His and we have the light within us to shine brightly through anything we could ever go through.
When we walk in the Word, no matter where we go, our lifestyle will reflect the Divine Light and draw others to the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know the surest way to get rid of any darkness in our lives is to let Jesus, the Divine Light, into our lives. No matter what the world may bring, Your Light cannot be hid and will forever shine. Thank you for being the light of the world.
