When we study the Word, we know the Lord speaks of death two ways.
He refers to His raising those who are dead in sin, to a newness of life, by the power of the Spirit, and to His raising of those who are physically dead and in their graves.
When we accept the Lord while we live and live according to His will, when we die, we are Heaven bound. But when we don’t live according to His will, we are separated from Him and condemned.
We know not the day nor the hour when the Lord shall return and many of us may already have taken our last breath.
May we believe the Lord’s testimony and follow His example of living according to and spreading the Word to all who will listen.
Putting our faith and hope in God, so we will not come into condemnation, but be Heaven bound.
He wants nothing more than for us to hear His voice, repent of our sins and be prepared for the day of His return.
Our response decides if death is the doorway to gloom or glory.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we desire the resurrection of life. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to receive it. Until our dying day may we search and pray over the Scriptures, daily applying them to our lives, so when the time of resurrection comes, eternal life can be ours.
